Every dog on this page has found their forever home. We keep their stories here because they show what’s possible, even for the dogs who arrive with the biggest challenges.

Winnie

Winnie came into our care with severe, long-standing skin problems that her previous home couldn’t manage. We treated her daily with natural products until her sore, blackened skin turned pink and healthy again. Winnie has since been adopted, and is living her best life with a new best friend, fellow Westie Angus.

Isla

Isla was 11 years old when her owners in Torquay could no longer look after her. A trusted transporter brought her the long way up to North Yorkshire, where she settled in within a day, affectionate and happy for cuddles from the moment she arrived.

Buddy

Buddy settled into foster life with Rebecca extremely well, four walks a day and all. He particularly enjoyed his kibble with a bit of carrot and cucumber mixed in. After his health check and castration, Rebecca made it official and adopted him.

Ralph

Ralph came into rescue after fighting with his littermate. He was a different dog outside the house (brilliant off-lead, no aggression to people or other dogs) to inside it, where he could be tricky around food and treats. Honest foster feedback like this meant we could find him exactly the right home: no other dogs, an experienced owner who’d be around for him.

Archie

Archie’s story took the longest, and it’s the one we’re proudest of. He came to us after biting family members in a busy household, and it took real patience from his foster carer Trish, plus grooming, castration and a lot of trust-building, before he was ready. There were setbacks along the way, but Archie found the experienced, understanding home he needed and was adopted.

Sky and Jazz

Mother and daughter Sky (14) and Jazz (9) came into rescue together when their previous owner needed end-of-life care. They settled into foster life as a pair, crate-trained, harness-trained, and happy to go everywhere together, and were adopted together too.

Tilly

Tilly was 11 years old with long-standing ear and skin problems when she came into our care. Her foster carer nursed her back to health with the same gentle, natural approach we use for every dog, and Tilly has since found her forever home.
